Mujeres, Poder y Vida :: Women, Power & Life

A Project by CEDEJO.  Community Circles and Sustainable Cooperatives of women united in a network of support and collaboration.

WOMEN, POWER AND LIFE involves a series of workshops in four marginal communities of the Rivera of Chapala: Tepehua, Ajijic, San Juan Cosalá, San Cristóbal.

These workshops have a systemic vision that seeks to develop the different areas of empowerment of women, from self-esteem and inner development to training for the progress of their creative potential, boosting their economic independence and improving their quality of life.

There are 4 areas that the project WOMEN, POWER AND LIFE seek to offer to women:

• Empowerment and Self-Esteem: Theoric and practical workshops on how to increase the love, respect and self-care of women by promoting wellness, balance and overall empowerment.
• Productive Projects: Methodologies to create cooperatives in order for women to generate their own economic activities for strengthen their economy and boosting their human development. Training will be taught on productive projects as: Production of medicinal extracts, preparation of soaps, gels and ointments, horticulture and medicinal garden home.
• Domestic violence: Mechanisms to prevent and eradicate violence against women, ensuring their access to a life free of violence that fosters their development and wellbeing according to the principles of equality and non-discrimination.
• Women's Health: Theory and exercises on the topics of sexuality, our cultural heritage of the female body
