Sylvia Flores of CEDEJO interviewed by MÉXICO EN TUS MANOS TV and nominated for prestigious award.9/23/2019 Sylvia Flores, CEDEJO's Director, was recently nominated to be considered for the prestigious "Mexico en Tus Manos" award and interviewed by Mexico en Tus Manos TV. The "Mexico en Tus Manos", or "Mexico in Your Hands", award recognizes community leaders who have greatly impacted the country with their social commitment and love for Mexico. The Prize is awarded by the National Fraternity of United Organizations for Mexico. CEDEJO will be notified in November if Sylvia Flores has won the award.

It was the best time to access all these university students though, so Sylvia came and explained things to the girls while we could get them. Thank you Sylvia!" 
As we discussed in our last post, CEDEJO is focusing on distribution and education about menstrual cups because menstrual cups have so many more benefits for women than pads or tampons. CEDEJO's Sylvia Flores has secured funding to be able to visit various communities around the region to distribute donated supplies and to educate women and girls on how to best use the menstrual cups. The program has been met with curiosity and gratefulness from all ages of women.  The pioneers of change gladly accepting the option of the menstrual cup, in Jocotepec youth meeting of change.
